School Governing Body Message

With the emergence of democracy in South Africa, the child’s right to education is enshrined in the constitution of our country. Every child is therefore entitled to a quality education and schools must become the vehicle that drives the dreams and aspirations that we as parents have for our children.

The Covid 19 pandemic has changed the face of education. We are entering unchartered waters and as a school we need to rise above the challenge and ensure that we do whatever we can to best service our community.

As part of our efforts to ensure that Parsee Rustomjee Primary School continues on its trajectory of educational excellence, the SGB has sanctioned the establishment of a school website. The school website will be used to communicate with parents, to facilitate the delivery of curricular materials and to increase the profile of our school.

We strongly believe that the school website will add a new and exciting chapter to our school that will further strengthen the school’s outstanding track record achieved over the last 56 years.

On behalf of the SGB, I congratulate the Principal and his staff on the initiative taken to establish the website. I further invite parents to see themselves as partners in their children’s education. This partnership has been bestowed upon parents through legislation in the form of the South African School’s Act. It is only through your constructive involvement with the school and your support of the personnel that serve the school, that we as a community will be able to savour the sweet taste of success.
